I will say this though... The first, and only lifted truck, I ever drove was my teammate's 97 Silverado Z71 w/ a 3" body lift and Mickey Thompson rims w/ 33" BFG KO's. Needless to say when he tried to sell it last year, I wanted it, but my dad said no b/c of the 183K Mi on the truck, and 3 months later he bought me the FX4. I was happy to say the least, but still, my dream is to be lifted... But I guess my stick here is that all I ever wanted was 3 inches... I talked to my dad tonight, basically he wants to know $$$$. How much between the two and all that. And he doesnt really care that Im paying for some of it, he doesnt want to spend 2K on it :/ I am about to look around on craigslist and ebay right now, and see what i can find. Thanks for your input guys! I really do appreciate it!

im just gonna throw this out there.

Ive only been givin 1 vehicle by my parents, and then i gave it back. They didnt want me to moddify it in anyway, just incase they want to sell it.

But I did put some black rock crawler wheels on it and did a few other things that were reversable.

A body lift IMHO IS NOT REVERSABLE! After you put one on your not gonna take it off, not on these new trucks. You can do it but its not worth it.

A suspension lift is easily reversable, so maybe you should bring that up to your dad.

yeah, i did... he's not gonna sell it, officially and legally, after college it will be mine to do whatever I want w/, but he believes that one day, I will not want my flowmaster 50 on there (which is why my stock muffler is in the barn) and he thinks that one day I wont want a lift either... so I was cool w/ the level kit, but I want more height, and I don't want my CV axle to be screwed up down the road... cause a 2" spacer or the bilsteins would still be bad for offroading right? b/c of the angle the CV's at?

nah at 2" you will be fine,

If you are really that worried about the angles youd probably s*** bricks if you saw my angles. And i drive the **** out of my truck. Mud hole once a week and drive fairly hard around town.

Awesome... And if Im not mistaken you have 37's right? Cause I may just (for the time being) go down to a 2" AS or the bilseins and go w/ a rear block or aal and shove some 35's on the stockers... cause I could pay for all that, and my dad could do the tires (which was his original suggestion) and maybe next year, *sigh* I'll do the real lift or wait till after college and say the heck with it and go with a 6". What do you think Trimble?

I'll sell you my 35x12.5x18 MT ATZ'z and 18x9 Incubus Crushers with only 3,500 miles on them for $1000 and your take-off 20's. You can fit these with your current set-up or even with a smaller 2" spacer up font. All I have is the 2" and stock height in back of my 08 FX4 and they work just fine. Check out my pictures and you may be happy! You can pay for these and throw them on with your current set-up and haggle with your dad/save seome more money and get the Rancho after next semester! Or....you could pay for these and your dad could get you the BL now! Or....your dad could pay for my wheels/tires and you could just pay for the 2" or whatever.....

What'ya you think?????!!!! I paid $2000 for the wheels and tires less than 3 months ago...more like 2....and I had to get them mounted and balanced on top of that. Yoou're only gonna get like $500 at most for your 20's so in reality your paying about $1500 for what I paid over $2000 for.

I'm going 8" of lift and 37x13.5x18's on different rims so I don't need the ones I have.

What'ya think man????!!!!

I have a suggestion, with a leveling kit and a 3" body lift isnt our truck pretty much the same height as a 6" suspension? Can someone that has this setup measure to the wheel wells and then someone compare with like a 6" pro comp lift. I think they will be close.

And the Rancho 4" lift gives you closer to 5-5.5" of lift, according to ATOM and many others, so it really isnt a 4" lift. With that said you could try and convince your dad to do a 6" pro comp lift that can be found on ebay for $1188 shipped. And Im sure you could find used rims and tires for cheap. Or you can get a set from this site....http://www.ntwonline.com/18X9_6X135M...P14252C284.cfm
And find used tires on craigslist, I found my 35x12.5x18 Pro Comp extreme A/T's for $200 for all 4 with 50% tread. Heres the link to the pro comp lift. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/pro-c...spagenameZWD1V

Where have you fioundit for $1188 shipped?? All the one's I've seen are $1188 not including shipping. I actually emailed the guy selling them and he said it would be another $175 for shipping from CA or wherever he was.

Yeah that's cool man... just let me know.

I'm gonna probably end up keeping the 35's and selling the rims for $500 if you or anyybody else doesn't want them. Paid too much for those tires to just sell them for nothing or let them sit there unused. I'll end up just running the 35's on the new rims w/ the 8" until they wear down and I can justify dropping $1500 on some 37's.

Does anyone know if the bilsein set at 2" is the same as a 2" AS? I know it sounds dumb, but I know some people say the 2.5" gives as much as a 3" and so forth... just looking at all my options
