38's on a 2wd
Hey i have a 2wd 06 and as of right now i have 36's and i can clear them just fine. i cranked the DL coils that i have so i can clear 37's and i was curious if i could throw some 38x13.50r20's? If i have the room for 37's i assume i could trim what is needed and do some 38's. What do you guys think?
Also i realize i will need gears, what do you recommend? i don't know a thing about gears

I hate stupid people, thats going to be a tight fit because 2 wheel drives site 2 in. lower than 4 wheel drives.
And for all the people that don't know this most 37s are 12.5-13.5in. WIDE
Most 38s are 15.5in wide and give the truck a much more beefy look. i would check your rims and see but i dont see how you going to fit 38 on a 2 wheel drive that only has a 6in lift with 2in spacer. you might need to look at getting a body lift. hope this helps

The 38's i am looking at are 14.30 wide, look at the toyo website..
and i have a 2.5 inch spacer with my coils cranked, and no my UCA angle is not bad at all which is surprising. The rims i have are 10 inches wide and have a 5 inch backspacing.

if you cranked coilovers youd get 9-9 1/2" of lift. not sure how much exactly you can crank on them but i bet you could get away with 37/13.50's with minor trimming

so with maybe 10 inches of lift on a 2wd would that be about maybe 8 inches on a 4wd?? So can you fit 38's on a 8 inch lifted 4wd truck? i parked next to an f150 with a basic 6 inch procomp lift 4wd and mine was about 2 inches taller than his. what does that mean??

It means that technically you have 4" more lift than he does but you only sit 2" higher because his 4x4 comes higher from the factory. So yeah to clear 38's I would say you would need a BL lift
