Skyjacker used to make a 3 inch suspension lift for the 04-08's that consisted of longer coilover shocks but a lot of owners had problems with it destroying their ball joints. Most everyone has found out that 2.5 inches is the limit without creating extreme ball joint angles. I would stay away from any type of lift/leveling kit that is only a spacer or longer coilover.
How much you spend will depend on how high you want to go. You can buy 2.5 inch leveling kits for less than $100. You can also combine this with a 3 inch Performance Accessory body lift. However, body lifts for the 04-08's are a real pain to install. If you have to pay someone to install it, you will have almost as much money invested in it as a standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift kit.

Yeah i priced out a 3" body for my 06 and it was like $800 just to buy it!!! And it will be a real PITA to install because the bolts have to go through the floor which means you gotta take up your carpet and all that other crap... so i say get a level/lift kit and run some 33's unless you wanna go with a suspension lift and fit 35's

well i have brand new upper control arms with new ball joints and bushings, and new lower ball joints so im thinking about getting a 2.5 inch leveling kit or a 3 inch and then go from there.
