Bouncy Ride After Lift?

I just had some Bilstein 5100's installed on my 2004 4X4 Lariat Supercrew and opted for the 1" lift over stock and it looks dam near level now. If I had set the shock on 2" it would have been too high for my taste.
I watched the entire evolution and saw the circlip on the middle of 3 setting.

Since the shock instillation compressed the spring 1" wouldn't this change the spring rate which would make the ride harsher? I notice the ride is much more bouncy/springy...like a cheap U-Haul rental.

Could this be a result of;

1. The way these gas shocks work.
2. The 1" compression of the spring.
3. A problem with the instillation.

Anybody else lift their truck and get a bouncier/harsher ride from the added spring compression? Im considering either 1" shorter than stock new springs with the old spring rate or dropping down to the lower stock setting on the shock.
Helpful suggestions or comments appreciated.
Pictures tomorrow.

Well,
Either nobody has had this problem or everyone has had it and it was a bad question...
Here are some pictures.
