Question 6 or 8 inch????

well guy im debating on wether or not to go with a 6 inch with 35's
or an 8 with 37's.

i really cant decide and wouldnt know if my truck would look to weird with
an 8 inch, being that its a "single cab"
i basically have the same truck as hash

i love the look of his but am alittle worried that ill wanna go bigger ha!

so what are yalls opinions on a single cab with an 8 inch?
to big?

I always tell people when trying to decide between two lifts/tire sizes, go with the larger. If you don't, you will regret it in short order and be looking to upgrade which will just cost you more money in the long run.

I probably get about 11mpg in the city, not the greatest, but I wasn't expecting to get good mileage.

alright thanks for the suggestions guys!
but i was looking online earlier and found 2 packages.
one is a basic set up for around 3000 if i remember correctly
and ones a performance for like 6000. dont really know the difference
so can anyone help?

also read on another thread that a good set up would cost around 10000
so can anyone suggest a way to start off? like what to get first n what not

thanks again guys!

Before I give my opinion, I want to know what you want from your truck. How important is ride? How important are looks? How many miles do you intend to put on this truck? What are you willing to sacrifice?

You can get a cheap lift kit that looks cool, but will cause problems the more you drive it. You can also spend a fortune and have the same problems. Remember, chrome don't get you home.

My order of priorities are:
Reliability. If your lift kit causes other components to fail prematurely your truck will be unreliable.

and

Driveability. There are kits out there that include replacement struts, and there are kits that include strut spacers. If you have 40,000 miles on your truck, or the shocks and struts and you put on a kit that only spaces the front struts but gives you new rear shocks, the truck won't ride as well as it would if the set was matched because shocks and struts fade over time, even if they don't leak. Also, the OEM strut was tuned to handle a tire/wheel of a particular weight. When you put a bigger tire on it will change it's characteristics, and won't match the rear. The bigger the tire over OEM, the more the mis-match between the front and rear will be noticed.
