If I have to, which I'd prefer not, im gonna try tossing the 2" leveling kit back in, and or go with a 3" body lift and have some new mounting brackets welded onto the front bumper (This I do not want to have to do)

Well I never really knew. I tried to do them off the truck, and it said something like 20 full turns was 2" of lift. I ended up putting them on the truck to crank them and lost count of all my 1/4, 1/2 turns. After a while it took me with the wrench and two other guys turning on the coil to get anymore.

In hindsight I should have just gotten a spring compressor and it would have been much easier and more accurate. I would try a spring compressor if you have access to one, or you can rent them for most auto stores.

PLEASE, PLEASE!! spare that beautiful 09' from a body lift!!

FX4Life,
I could go get a compressor and just compress the springs while on the truck and crank them a bit more to see if I gain anything at all but damn, I just had the thing aligned for the third time. Wanting to know if there is another 1/2" or so to gain tho surely is bugging me!

I'd go for it! I bet you easily have more to crank, although you can have thread for days.. It's the spring that will kill you! You could always tell the alignment shop it feels out Or it's pulling hard.....after you get that extra .5" !!

Looks real good man! You can crank them coilovers up some more, judging from the pic looks like you need to crank them up about 1/2".

callmewhite,
They can be cranked just like the DL's.

IORF150 + backwoodsboy70,
I will be cranking them up this coming weekend. I have new ubolts and spring clamps coming for the rear, so saturday those will be going on, and the coils will be getting cranked another 1/2-1" Picked up a spring compressor yesterday to make it an easier task with them still being mounted on the truck =)
