high priced install

Want to have the DJM 3.5/6 lowering kit on my 06.custom shop in town wants 55/hr or about 650 total!holy crap!I've installed one on my 87 ram-50 back in the day,guess i will do this one myself.It cant be that hard...contol arms and flip kit...right!

The time may be a bit on the high side, but labor at $55 an hour really isn't too bad.

IMO its highway robbery. I think you could do it yourself...just give yourself a weekend or 2 days, take your time and read carefully.

I don't know much about lowering kits, so I have no idea if that's a good price or not.

The shop is either quoting high because they've never done one of those kits and they don't want to get burned, or they have done a bunch of them and they know how long it really takes to do it.

Ask them how many of those kits they have done on that truck and you will know. I would never have a shop use me as a guinea pig unless I really, really, trusted them.

thanks for the replys,yea got a couple buddys who will help me, all i got to do is smoke a slab of ribs and chicken!lol.I agree 55/hr isint bad,but they should be able to do it in half the time they are giving me.DIY here i come!
