sway bar tighten will lift truck?

sway bar tighten will lift truck?

is it true that tighting the sway bar you will get a little extra lift up front?

let me know....and how its done

No it will not. If you have a 97-03, cranking the TORSION bar will do some lift.

no its a 2005 what the difference in torsion bar and sway bar?

Torsion bar is used in place of a spring. Sway bar is used to control sway and lean on the turns. Has nothing to do with ride height.

leaf springs? im not sure what your saying
arent torsion bars,....bars that come form front or rear end to a cross member at about center of the truck?

Look at your truck. It has coil springs on the front. A 97-03 (4x4s only) had a torsion bar that went back to about the position of the front seat, but attached to the frame. The flex in this is what allowed the front to go up and down, just like a coil spring does. The rears have leaf springs.

ok thanks for the info......i stated i had a 2005 not 99-03 .....i understnd everything your saying but im thinking 2005 and your thinking 99-03 so we lost eachother lol

how does someone posting that the sway bar has nothing to do with ride height????


you can twist on that sway bar drop link all day long and all you'll do it get tired or break a bolt.


if you want a lift, then get a lift kit...

if you want to go higher up front buy the auto springs 2" level kit...69 clams to your door you can't go wrong....off ebay
