suggestions for lift?

well, looks like Im getting rid of my 3" level kit here soon... I am looking to do something without going up in height more than a few inches. I have seriously considered putting a 6" on there, but as is, I sit w/i an inch of a 6" suspension lifted truck... and so if I add 6" to that, minus whatever I actually got out of the level kit, I think that would be too high for me right now... I don't really want to go that high right yet, if ever... I think. Suggestions!!!??!?!?? I don't "want" to go lower, but I might would consider running just the BL for a month... But I REALLY don't want to have to take the aal back out. My current setup is 3" body lift, 3" level kit, and 2" aal with 315s. Thanks in advance!

Go with a 6" lift, you'll regret it if you get something smaller.

I already think my truck is small again

lol... Thanks ID... Just curious whats your mpg like? and are you running 4.88s or 4.56 now? I really need to regear as is... Im getting <14pmg on average and I drive 250 miles a week, so I need some decent mpgs. And just curious... is that your dd? If so, how does it handle on the road in traffic, parking lots, etc? Basically, whats the run down on your truck? while we're at it, whats your ss# and what's your favorite pet's name?

Honestly i dont bother looking at the MPG's anymore but if i had to guess it would be around 12 city 14 Highway. Shes abit more thirsty since the 38's i can tell you that. Im running 4.88's, i love them , def worth the money to regear. and yes it is my DD. handles fine in traffic, gives you more visibility to see whats coming up ahead. If you can park your truck now , you wont have a problem.

Deff go with 6in lift if you don't want to go higher than that then just take out the BL and then see what ya think. If you want bigger then just put the body lift back on.
Also What size tires are you going to run.
I would run about a 4.56 gears they run better on the high way and get good millage

Go ahead and get 6" lift. I have 9" and wish that I could put more on mine. Like IDNC76 said, I feel like mine is small again. Don't waste the money on anything less than 6" cause in a year or so, you WILL wish that you had gone bigger the first time.

BDS makes a new lift for our trucks that is sold as a 4" or a 6" and uses a spacer up front and either a block, aal or new leafs in the rear. I got the low down from BDS because I was considering buying it. Both kits actually use all the same parts except the 4" has a 4" spacer and the 6" has a 6" spacer. The drop brackets actually measure out to roughly 5" so it's in between the 2. BDS has a phenomenal warranty and the new one looks awesome. Just go woth the basic 4" lift and then if you decide you want to go biger later you have the flexibility there and can add the Bilstein 5100's built for a 6" lift and remove the spacer all together. You could even add another inch spacer on top of that to be at 10" of total lift and have the angles of a 6"+ 2" spacer. For the time being though you'll be at 1" higher than you are now.

Thanks guys! Keep 'em coming if you have other suggestions too!

Hunt, I would consider taking the BL off but Im afraid it would be a waste of money to have it taken off... I think the BL has its practicality, but I should've just gone with a susp first probly. Oh well... I got the BL now, so Im probly gonna keep that on there, and see what setup I can run for the susp.

tlt, that actually sounds very interesting... I will definintely look into that...
