So I leveled my truck but...
I did the daystar 1.5" level but my truck isn't quite level. When I had everything tore apart my truck had spacers on it that looked identical to the daystar spacers cept slightly larger. I assumed these were the stock insulators from the factory for the springs. I decided to leave them on and stack them ontop of the daystar spacers since just by looking there was no way the daystar spacers alone would level it, it would actually lower it. Got it all together and aligned and at first the front end was level if not slightly higher but now I would says its .5"-1.0" lower in front.
Said and done, I'm now under the impression that the spacers that were on my truck that I assumed were factory insulators or something must have been aftermarket spacers that the previous owner put on and did not leave the factory insulators in place.
Also, after getting my level - I installed my new rims and wheels. 285/75r16 MT's on 16x8's with 4.2"BS. I don't rub at all while sitting still even at full lock, but when driving around I will only rub when turning right, slow or fast, and only during partial turn but stops rubbing if I continue to turn toward full lock. Does not rub at all turning left.
I'll get pics up later - wish I was a little wider stanced but I was limited to budget and time on the rims. Once I get some 12.5" wide tires in a few years when I replace the new ones I already got it should help a little more and by then I'll have a 7.5" fabtech lift so I should be sitting fine at that point.
Anyone else have any info on this? And is being .5" to 1.0" lower in front normal?

Either right at the lowest/closest point of the valance or right as the curve starts of the wheel well by the passenger door.
On another note - what shocks would you suggest for the best ride with both on/off road use in mind, driving on M/T's?

I have this same problem. The springs will settle into the spacer over time and leave you closer to about .5" lower. I’m either going to get new stock springs (130k miles on these ones) or lift springs when I re-do the lift. The stock isolator is about a inch shorter than the daystar coil spacer when sitting on the ground so if the one you stacked it on is taller than your daystar then its probably aftermarket. However it doesn’t make sense that you’re still lower if you stacked the spacers as I'm at the same height but with just the daystar.
As for the rub, a simple set of tin snips will cut right through the plastic. Just be sure to draw a line to make it look nice and take your time.
Shocks- bilstein, rancho, the upper end pro comps are all good. I’m personally running bilstein 5100s on the rear and am getting them for the front, a little stiff on the street but great off road

It will also be that fact that your truck is heavy and the 5.4 is alot heavier than the v6. that being said the daystar leveled mine almost exactly so it wouldnt suprise me that the added weight might still give you a slight rake.
bilstein shocks are the way to go. i ran extended stock ones for about 6 months and they sucked haha (one even broke)
