Rancho 4-6inch Lift User Chime In

OK well im trying to sell a set of bilstein shocks for up front. Now the shocks that i have were originally made for your style lifts 4-6inch. But was wondering what kinda front set up you guys have? Did they come with different strut assembly or is it the factory strut system and like a spacer or something i dont know. Trying to figure out if these will work with the Procomp, skyjacker or any 6inch lift out there.

Thanks,
Josh

No spacer on the Rancho system....they use the factory spring assembly so extended length shocks are needed. Basically, the "extended" shocks needed have a longer lower mount shaft (below the spring perch). Hard to explain, but hope this helps

Ok so these bilstein shocks will work with a factory coil/strut assembly. Bc these shocks were originally made for your 4inch rancho lift. But sense they use the factory strut then you can use the other setting to acheive 6inches of lift as well? Make any sense ?

Makes sense. Sounds like setting the Bilsteins to 6 would be the same as the extended length shocks for a 4 inch lift with a 2 inch spacer.

Yeah that's what I thinking but the member jordan on here wants them but has a procomp lift and is looking to get rid of his 6inch spacer. So just replacing the bilsteins with the other shocks should work bc these have the longer body valve. Just needs to put it at the 6inch lift setting and should be good to go
