I think you got it right brotha......

 

I tried the lift shackles and they did lift the rear as advertised. However, I noticed a stiffer ride in the back end so took them off. Not sure if the stiffer ride was due to my imagination or if the shackle actually altered the leaf flex geometry.

 

They do make the truck stiffer as they alter the shackle-link leverage ratio. The longer the shackle the softer the ride and more sway.

 

Well went ahead and ordered everything.

Hopefully i'll have everything on during the 2nd week of March , including the Mazzi's / chrome heads/fogs/ Fender flares

i bought those lift shackles also and they do stiffen it to a certain degree but nothing to worry about... IDNC what are you running a 6+3 and an AAL in the rear ?

 

no worries, knowing me im sure the black rims will be on again in a few months

Did you get exactly 1.5" like advertised ?

The rear has 5.5" block and i believe its an 1.5" AAL , it sits a tad higher in the rear right now, so im hoping the 1.5" level will give me around 2" or so and the shackles should put me even with the front/ a tad higher in the rear.

 

advertised as 2 and gained 1 ... kinda was bummed but it lvld me out
