Smile Body Lift questions

Anybody put a 3" body lift on a F150 SuperCrew? I've got a question about the towing hitch and bumper. When the lift is put on and the bumper bracket installed will the bumper fit over the hitch without any cutting or will I have to re-position the hitch? Haven't started the install yet just wanted to know if there is a major issue with tow hitches.

I have one on my super crew as well. No mods necessary. Its a very strait - forward install

I kept my hitch in the stock position. I didn't like the idea of cutting and rewelding the object that holds my 7,000 boat. I don't think it looks bad. I just keep it painted black. Most people don't even notice.

I do have a concern about the cooling issue because of having to move the fan shrould. I haven't towed in hot weather yet to see the impact. Any thoughts out there on this issue with a body lift?

Thanks Guys, I'm waiting until I have a few days off to begin the lift project. I'm still trying to get my spark plugs changed. Talked to Ford dealer and they want 450.00 plus 55 a plug that breaks, a local shop said they have done plenty of them and only charge 250. They just said they would have to keep it all day.

I have had BL on for about 5 years. I have had no heating issues and I'm Supercharged. You should be fine

Once you have a BL on, changing plugs will be soooo much easier, especially the rear ones.......change them yourself, not hard at all, just takes a little time....save yourself some $$$$

I installed a 3" body lift on a 99 GMC Z71 I used to own several years ago. The kit should come w/ two spacers and bolts that fit between the bottom of your bumper and the top of your hitch. I think they come w/ cover plates also now that hide the spacers above your hitch. I've seen a few like that on the road. Good Luck!

After examining a few body lifted trucks, the hitch doesn't stick out to much as far as appearance goes.
