not hard to bleed breaks just get someone to help you. took me about 20 min. and i would get synthetic. helps reduce wear. and when bleeding the breaks its always farthest from the mater cylinder, right rear and then getting closer to it. Left rear and front right then front left. and remember to check the master cylinder to refill it while you are doing this. if you empty it while you do this you will have to start over.

I would imagine that with brake fluid primarily being hydraulic and not a lubricant that you wouldn't have to flush the system to swap it either way.

Just a hunch, I'm not sure though.

when you bleed the breaks you are basically flushing the system. pushing the old stuff out and pouring the new stuff in. yeah it wont completely flush the old stuff out but it doesn't matter. i did the same thing to my truck about 30000 miles ago and haven't had a problem.

I used Prestone Synthetic Brake Fluid last summer.I just grabbed an extra 2 liters and bled each line until I was seeing the fresh fluid at each wheel. The stuff is cheap so why not be sure that as much of the old is gone, and replaced with new.

Yeah ill be installing the rear lift here in about an hour or so. Going to make some custom brackets for the brake drop till Rize sends me the other one. Hopefully my driveshaft isn't pulled out to much.

Another question is my abs is not connected and prob needs to be extended by slipcing. I don't there this is enough slack in the line to reach together. Can I drive without ABS until I get them lengthened ?

Dang, that thing looks awesome! I can't wait to see the finished truck. If I was closer, I would come and help.

Well here you go guys shes finally done. I had to kinda fab up some crappy brackets for the rear brake line drop but it works. I didnt connect the front driveshaft even though it will still work. I forgot to and had it tied up but as i was driving i heard a clunk so its sitting on the sway bar right now and the bolts were lost lol. Also i hear a noise sounding like my wheel bearings are out on the driver front tire so ill be getting that checked out. One of my caliper bolts fell off as well haha. Shes getting an inspection i guess you could call it tomorrow. The guy is going to charge me like 40 to re tighten everything and make sure its all good. While doing this im going to have him check the driveshaft measurements so i can order it. By the looks its pulled out quite a bit but with a driveshaft spacer it would work. The pinion angle doesnt look bad at all either but ill let the pros make the call on it. Well enough of me heres the truck.

Enjoy,
Josh
