4inch lift--Rancho vs BDS opinions

Ok this is all confusing for me...
Rancho states on their website..
"developed using a 35x12.50 x R18 fire on a 18x9 wheel with 6.0" of backspacing"
BDS states on their website
Maximum tire size for 4 and 6" lifts
35x12.50 on 17x9 or 20x9 wheel w 4-5/8 backspacing
I measured my backspacing on my wheels at 5-5/8 (20x9)
if 4-5/8 BS works why not 5-5/8, it has more backspacing,
thus 1 inch more clearance all the way around...correct???
And for those of you who have the Rancho do your front tires stick out alot farther then the rear, because of the increased track width?

I run the Rancho and I don't notice the front tires sticking out a lot further than the rear. I think the wheelbase is too long to really pick up the minimal difference. And I don't really notice much of a difference by just looking to see how much tire and wheel sticks out past the fender well.

The track width difference on my truck is a whopping 3/4"!!!! I can hardly live with the shame... :o I feel like I should just give up and badge my truck 'chebbie' so I fit in with all those fugly 'front wheels falling off' looking trucks they got running around.
Seriously, we're talking 3/8" of an inch on each side, it's not that much.
Pix trying to illustrate the difference:
From the rear you don't notice it. My old '99 on the left there!
From the front it looks bigger than it is only if you squat right in front of the truck like this.
