Baja Lift Kit

So I was talking with this guy last night and he said I should go with a Baja Lift Kit for my truck. I looked it up but can't find lift kit under that name. Has anybody heard of these lift kits? Or does anybody have on installed on their truck? If you do can you post a pic of it. I want to see what it looks like. He told me thatthis lift would be better for my truck since it is a 2wd.

He probably meant a long-travel kit (or prerunner kit).

Oh ok. I will check back with him. He said that since I want to lift my truck like 10" it would be cheaper to go with this kit then a different one.

They guy you talked to knows absolutely nothin. A prerunner suspension does not lift the truck it adds move travel but keeps the truck lower to the ground. If you want to lift you truck 10" you will need to run a suspension lift with a body lift, no one makes a good ifs lift that tall. You can try your luck with whiplash, full throttle, or bullet proof but I don't recommend it. You will also need to start thinking about gearing because with a 10" lift you will be running 38's so 4.56 or 4.88 gearing will be needed.

RIZE makes a 12" lift and an 8" lift that you can then either get coilovers and crank them or get a leveling kit to bump it up to 10"

Dang trimble laying down that ban-hammer!

10" on 38s sounds beast, but theres a butt ton of things that are gunna add up quicker than that huge lift kit will.

Im not really one for drama but....

If you guys are going to get all pissy and start bashing on peoples intelligence, Brenthel Industries makes a kit and guess what its called... A Baja Kit haha. They make both a long travel and a mid travel kit, depending on how much you want to pay but neither is going to come close to a 10 inch lift up front? I agree, your friend has no idea what he is talking about.. I have a Camburg mid travel that pulls 12inches of usable travel, but it only lifts the front 4.5 inches.

Ok, let me tell yall what he said. He tole me that if I went with said Baja Kit and then put 38's on it I would get about a total of about 8" of lift. So it it could actually be that Baja Kit. So this is what he could have been talking about, so all of yall that said he know nothing that he is talking about could and I am going to go with are wrong. I have seen his truck and he did all the work on it, it is amazing.

Cant we get pics please of this amazing set up. I know some peoples trucks are big and looks cool as heck but the acutal setup can be crap and useless. Not to bash you or his abilities but with out pics its hard to tell exactly what this "baja kit " really is.

Not to be an a$$ but 1. why on earth would you wanna lift up your truck 10 inches and put 38's on it if it is 2wd? 2. If you are going with a prerunner/baja look or kit I don't think lifting your truck that high would be a good idea due to the increase of your "top heaviness" and you would be A LOT more likely to role over if you actually used your truck for baja style driving instead of a mall queen.
