6 " or 8" ???

It's time for some new tires and i want to go bigger but not have to sell my left nut to pay for everything. I'd love to get up to 8" so i could run 37's but then i would have to regear and spend an extra 1500 or so. Any suggestions or preferences on 6 inch with 35's or 8 inch with 37's? and if you have any pics please post

You have the option to do like a lot of us and either stack spacers, get bilstein shocks or get coilovers and put an AAL in the rear to give you an additional 2" on top of the 6" lift.

If you plan on hitting the trials, don't waist you money on the 6", you'll regret it big time, I did. Put that money on the 8"; trust me on this one, experience is talking here.

Definately go with the 8. I went with the 6 and addeda body lift so I could run 37's. You will definately be happier, plus you don't have to regear right away if you don't have the money.

preciate all the help. do you think it would be cheaper to just put on an 8 inch suspension lift or go with a 6 inch and then add on with coilovers

8 All the way. Probly cheaper to do spacers on a 6" lift or something of the sort like coilovers to achieve 8"... I don't know for sure though. Im pretty sure Rize is the only one who makes the 8" for our 150s though and those lifts can be pricey. Just personal opinion, I don't really like the Rize subframe.

Good luck with getting an 8" lift for you truck dude. Rize, CST and BDS are the only companies I know that make them. Rize is in the process of moving(so they say) and are backlogged, CST is far from cheap and I'm not even sure they make the 8" kit anymore, and BDS is not cheap plus their 8" is really a 6" kit with an 8" strut stuffed in it which equals out to be the same thing as a 6" kit with a 2" spacer.

I have the 6" suspension and a 2" leveling kit for 8" total! A part of me sometimes wonder if I should have went with the Rize in the first place? But I am very happy with my truck, She rides great! Have not had any problems with my Pro Comp lift. A friend of mine has the Rize lift and his isn't any smoother than mine. And I paid a lot less! Our 4x4 shop in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada calls the Rize lift kits California lift kits akapavement pounders) He has installed quite a few and has not been very happy with them. But everyone has there own opinion! I have 35" tires on my 8" lift right now, I am looking at getting 37". You can check my profile if you like ,and see some pics of what 35" tires look like on 8" lift. I think you cant go wrong either way, Just lift it

I did alot of research on this so trust me. It would be cheaper to go with the 6" lift with coilovers but RIZE makes a very good lift. The problem with them though is for $3000 bucks to get it sent to you doesn't even come with all the hardware needed to install it. I got my 6" Fabtech from performance lifts delivered for $1300 (military discount) and they even threw in the 5" rear block for free and it came with everything I needed. Coilovers are about $1200 but are very good for looks and ride. Mine rides stiff but none of these are going to ride like stock again anyhow, no matter what you install. Good luck
