body lift and shifter?

I'm looking at possibly getting a 3" body lift as a cheap way to fit 35s on my truck. it is a '98 4x4 off-road package with the front torsion bars cranked about 2".

anyone that's done the body lift have experience with the manual trans shifter and transfer case shifter? how does the lift affect them? and does it affect anything else?

I've installed two, but neither vehicle had a manual tranny or transfer case. If you get the Performance Accessories kit it will include everything you need. They are not hard to install, but it is time consuming tedious work.

yeah i've done a few myself and i know how time consuming it can be, but like you i've never done one on a truck with manual trans or transfer case. i'd imagine there has to be some kind of modification that would have to be done to the shifters to keep factory height operation.

I know my PA kit came with a metal extension that had to be welded on the shifter to extend it. I believe it only had one though, so I don't know if it was for the transfer case or transmission.
