Lift Help FAST!

Just put my PC Stage I on w/aal and when at full turn my 325/60's will hit on the bottom of the fender closest to the cab. They are on moto metal 951s 20x10 with -18 offset and 4.78 backspacing. I need to do something so they will clear. Should I stack my 2.5 leveling kit? Or try and find coilovers? There is a set on here that I found but its off a 6in skyjacker. Would it work with my pro comp?

Here are the coilovers.

did you try trimming yet ?

you said you had PC stage 1, if so i would not stack spacers by adding a leveling kit on top of pro comp spacer.

you can get the adjustable bilsteins and set them to the 2" setting with the pro comp sapcer.

or you can get coilvers and crank them up and inch or two.

I would do the stage II upgrade kit. I was able to put 36" tires on after I went from the Stage I to the Stage II kit. although you have -18 back spacing. I only have -11. I still trimmed the valance under th frt bumper. and I trimmed the back behind the tire (the inner fender plastic area)

I also started with the spacer on top of the struts in my 6"
then I tried the bilstiens for front struts
I ended up using the stage II upgrade

I wasted my money so you wouldn't need to.

Buy the Stage II kit w/coil overs you will be happpier. but still trim the plastic

The Coil over. The truck had more clearance. It was higher in the front.
I had to get the rear higher after the stage II was installed

I would go with the coilovers but my biggest problem right now is that I'm on a budget. I saved up for the lift and everything and can't afford another 1000 on stage II upgrade. But don't get me wrong I would if I could. Any idea if the skyjackers would work? Thanks

Your problems with rubbing are caused by your wheels. You have a wide wheel with shallow backspacing. I'd suggest trimming some plastic.

Could you get a better picture of your trimming in the rear of the well? Thanks

Plastic trimmed

for me I trimmed Plastic in two places for the rear rubbing of the front tire.

your fender trim is black mine is white. on the inside white piece I trimmed up at an angle so as to keep the stock look (not trimmed) on the outside of the molding. (side of fender)

The inner fender well plastic. at the very back - bottom 3 -4 " across the whole bottom was cut. you will notice that there is nothing behind the plastic bottom 3-4" However I did bend the metal channel some . you will see what I mean with a thorough investigation.

Also if we didn't need the offset rims for our lifts there would be less rubbing issues.

The lift is to fit the tires better.
the tire size and rim offset cause the rubbing.
mine 36" tall x 13.5 wide --- tire
-11 offset on the 18"x 9" ----rim

Larry, I like the way you marked all your nuts and bolts.

I had the lift put on at 4 wheel parts by my house. They did a real nice job. I don't mind doing most of my work but the lift was more than I wanted to tackle. I have done the AAL , Shackles, Frt struts, Blocks, VIAIR, CB Radio. in my driveway on my back.
The Lift itself and gears were done by 4 wheel parts (3 year 36,000 wty). This particular shop has a good crew.

You will have to trim the fender flare. I had the same issue before I put the spacer w/ my 35's. I have a -25 offset so when I hit a bump while turning it still would rub

Thanks for the advice everyone! The bad thing is I believe I will stack the spacers for the time being. I have one more quick question, the tire shop says my ball joints are bad but I don't really believe them because they aren't tight in ther but only move a little bit. Should I replace them? How hard is it to do?

How much play? What are the specs on how loose they can be. most ball joints get replced because of excessive play not being to tight. Sorry I don't know the specs

Solution = dont turn your wheel to full lock.

^^I didn't know that. But as far as how much play I would guess 1/2cm or less on the ball joint anyway. Only moved up and down no side to side play.
