remove lift block, 2wd u-bolts, shackles + hangers or leafs
not too sure about if you will rub or not, if it does all those suspension components are adjustable to lift it up if it does rub.
auto parts store or get some off of a 2wd from a junkyard or another member

My first post here. We've got a '12 F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 Ecoboost Platinum, I am interested in lowering it a touch. I am in a wheelchair from a motorcycle wreck, my DD now is a ramped modified minivan, so technically it's my wifes truck. We got it to tow our bass boat, and for fun of course.
I have a chairlift system in it to take me from floorboard to seat level, but the seat is about 2-3" too high for an easy transfer, so I would like to fix that. It will also be easier on my wife, and we both like the look of a lowered leveled truck.
So, after reading all 22 pages of this thread plus many others I have some thoughts and questions.
I want a basic lowering that won't impact ride or towing, so prob 2/4; 3/5???
1. I can't find any kits being available for the 2012 models, are 12's the same as 11's?
2. So I can get a basic 2" drop all around by removing the rear block and using 2wd shocks all around, correct?
3. I am still confused on what it takes to get another inch or so in back to level it out. I think I want a little rake for towing purpose, even though tongue weight isn't that much on our boat. decisions, decisions...
4. What parts of the warranty will be voided by doing this?
5. I see some members from the Dallas/North Tx area, anybody know a good shop to take it to?
Thanks.

As for kits everything from 04-12 will work as nothing major has changed on the F150s there are little changes but dont affect the lowering kits.

Mmalcom, thanks for the input, sounds similar to what I am going to do. I only have a 1" diff from front to back so I am doing a 2/3 by replacing 4 shocks with stock 2wd models, removing the block, and adding a 1" Belltech drop shackle.
Glad to know the ride is still great after doing it, definitely don't want to mess that up. An I think I may still have ~0.25" rake when done so pulling the boat should not sag at all. I'll put pics up when done, but it will be a few weeks.
Thanks again.

I recently purchased a 2012 F150 4x4 STX regular cab and have been researching lowering it. I traded in a lowered 2004 Lightning so the height of the truck is not to my liking. I've noticed two kits: Belltech 965SP and DJM 3209-3/5. Both advertise 3/5 drops. Anyone used these kits? Recommend other kits instead?
