Love this thread...still deciding whether or not to lower my 4x4. Autoanything has a deal right now on the Belltech Flip Kit. Usually retails for $574. Right now its at $478 until the 19. Anyone have this kit? How do you like it?

I'm not a big fan of flip kits, but they've been around forever and a lot of people do them

Hello forum people!

I have a 2012 fx4 Ecoboost. Supercrew, fully loaded.
And I wanna put my beast on bags!
This is the first truck I've ever dropped and I'm unsure how to go about putting bags in. As I've brought it up and people mention the cv in the front. How do I plan on getting bags in there and what noT....

Does anybody have any advice? Previous experience.

Lowered and lifted. My lariat 4x travels many miles offroad. Daily. My current setup

2/2.5 billstein strut in front -2 drop shackle rear. Ideally I'd have a mid travel kit. But this is how I'm rolling at the moment. I like the lower rear look tuckin nitto grap M/T.

Testing the new setup. Maxed out racked with barely enough clearance . Yeah it's alittle sketch . Need new rear suspension .

Checkin things out after installing a rear lowering shackle .

I think a lot of you will remember my old 2011 FX4 that was lowered:

However, it was time to update the old girl for something new. Here is my 2015 F150 Lariat Sport FX4, lowered 6/6. Enjoy!

What suspension set up did you run to get it that low? I have a 2014 and trying to find a set-up that will fit. I have 2013 lower control arms already knowing that the 14's are set up differently. But still having a hard time finding some that'll work on a 13 fx4. Any advice?

Just found this thread, and after checking all 33 pages, My 07 is not in here. So here it is.

Bone stock, Jan 2007

after belltech lowering struts set at stock 2wd ride height, rear blocks removed and 2" drop shackles.

The thread when I lowered it https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...ht=lowered+4x4

About a year after this pic, the lower rubber bushing on both belltech struts blew out so I put the stock 4x4 struts back in and removed the 2" drop shackles and put the stockers back.

If I had to do it again, I would just get some high quality 2wd struts and rear shocks and some drop shackles and call it a day.

BTW the truck in my sig is my current truck, the front is stock, and the rear has the blocks removed. 09-14's rear block is only 1.25", not 1.875" like my 07 and 05 was.

Hmmmmm ....... really? I would have guessed yours was here.

I know it was a picture of your '07 that was part of the inspiration that led me to drop mine a couple inches. (removed 2" block at rear, believe they do taper to about 1-7/8 at front? ..... and use shorter u-bolts and .... as you know, I modded my 4wd shocks by sectioning that lower end 1-5/16" or so which dropped the front a hair over 2" total)

You can easily do a 2/3 without a huge investment or radical modification to the truck.

2wd struts
Rear block delete (2wd u bolts)
2" drop shackle
