Bilstein's installed

Got my Bilstein's installed today. I'm pretty freakin happy the way it turned out. I got right at 2.5" of lift in the front. My truck had about 3" of rake before, so I've got about .5" of rake left.

Before:

After:

I don't think the balljoint angles are to bad

Looks great! Love the raptor rims! I can't wait to install my 2.5" HBS.

Congrats on your bilsteins, hope they work out for you.

Maybe because mines an 04 I didn't get as much lift as you did, I got only about 1 7/8" of lift and my ride got soo much stiffer and harsh I didn't like them at all, maybe it's my 35's contributing to it I don't know. But I've since dropped my struts down to level 0, reinstalled my 2 1/2" spacer and my ride is soo much nicer. Kinda wish I had gone with the adjustable types..

Rides pretty good. I only drove it from the shop home which was only a few miles. Today was a good bit of driving with the trailer hooked up and two 4 wheelers, still drove great.

I agree, mine is a '04 too, and got a hair under 2''. From what I understand is the 04-05 had more rake then the later models.

So you returned your shocks to level 0 and added a spacer? Could you tell that the front end was higher? I've thought about doing this, but I didn't know if it would be worth it, but if I can get more height and a better ride I may try this.

Yeah.. I didn't want to but after my spacers were removed and the bilsteins installed, I have to admit i was bumbed at how much lift I lost. When i went back to the spacers i got my full 2 1/2" lift back and to "me" the ride got soo much better. Just defeats the purpose of having 5100's but oh well, live and learn. That's my experience anyway.. Goodluck
