Lifting my 2wd 05

I Have a 7" cst lift replacing my 2.5" leveling kit. I am going to do 35's with my 20's using khumo's or coopers. What should i use for a 2" lift in the rear of my truck? Any help appreciated.

thanks,

Is the back currently stock? No blocks or AAL yet? The basic rule of thumb deciding between AAL and blocks is do you tow/haul heavier loads and dont want the back to sag, or would rather maintain current ride quality. If you dont want it to sag under load get the AAL if you want the same ride get blocks. Also not sure if you can get an AAL to give you 2 inches, may be wrong.

Blocks would be the easiest way to go and cheap.
Here is an example http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...con/79002.html

Another thing you could do is go to a junk yard and get a set stock set out of a 4x4.

I am not sure, you will have to measure and see if you have the extra thread. I am guessing they may be a little too short. My guess is if you look around online you can find a set. Also may want to find ones that have 90 degree bends verses the U shape, they fit better on your rear hardware.

Use blocks. There is no science to lifting the rear and it's really trial and error - the outcome will vary from truck to truck. I suggest starting with a 3" block in the rear. If you want more, you can go with a bigger block or with a lift shackle...all these options are relatively inexpensive. As I posted in the main forum, go with AutoSpring.

The truck i posted has 7 in the front and 2 in the rear.

Its just because its a 2wd, these things sit veryyyy nose low.

I should have said something earlier, but just measure from center of hub to bottom of fender and see what the difference is from front to rear. Then for your lift block height take the difference to make it level and add 1 or 2 inches to that depending how much higher you want the front. Make sure to take into account the front lift.

For example (making up numbers) if current front measurement is currently 23 inches and rear is 27 inches. Add in your 7 inches so now front is 30 inches and rear is 27, then a 2" rear block would put you an inch high in the front.

It is trial an error to an extent, but this should get you close.
