What kit and what size wheel and tires

Hey guys, this is my first post, mainly because i just bought a 2008 F150 FX4 Extended cab. I'm trying to figure out what leveling kit to install and what is the biggest Wheel and tire combo i can put on after the kit is installed.

Its a White FX4 with dark gray on the bottom, any suggestions of what wheels and tires would look good would also be helpful. I'm thinking about the Daystar kit 2.5 inch.

Truck currently has the stock 18inch wheels. When providing your suggestions on the wheels, please help with the offset, i also want them out a little.

Thanks

The Daystar is a great kit, but the Autospring is just as good and cost less.
As for a wheel/tire combo, I'd suggest a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 or 5.5 inches of backspacing and some 33 inch tires like a 325/60-18 or 305/55-20. Wheel diameter is a matter of personal preference, but with 33's, I'd go with an 18 or 20 inch wheel.

If you ever plan to go bigger than a leveling kit id go 20" wheels, I regret buying my 18" now. I have 4.5 backspace on mine 9 wide with 33" toyo m/t, the backspace look is awesome looking because my tires aren't sticking wayyyy out but again if your going to ever go higher than a leveling kit highly consider the 5.5 backspace as he suggested above ^^

Thanks for the info so far..........So if I'm understanding this correct, if I go with a 9" wheel and 5.5 backspacing, this will give me a 1.5" wider wheel, with that going outward since the backspacing is the same as the factory wheel, correct?

Also, is that 33 the largest? I'm guessing a 34 would do some rubbing.

Best place to purchase these tires and wheels...suggestions????

You are correct about the 9 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of BS sticking out 1.5 inches farther than your stock wheels.
With a leveling kit, I'd stick with 33's, but you could fit 34's with the right wheel. However 34 inch tires are few and far between.
I'd suggest looking at TireRack.com. They are a site sponsor here.

Id stay with a 33" personally it fits a leveling kit perfectly looks symmetrical to the amount of lift you'll have. Have you determined 18" vs 20" rim size yet?

Yeah, ive decided to go with the 18's. From what I've gathered so far, I'm going to get 18 x 9's with a 5.5 offset, and 325/60-18 tires. My understanding is that I shouldnt have any problems using this scenario.

Question is now....what tire and what wheel. I'm thinking a black wheel of some sort, but have no clue on what tire.

Need help...........

I think fuel just launched a new line of rims, well that's what I heard I haven't checked. If moneys not too big of an issue I'd suggest toyo m/t. I have them, quiet, last a long time, and haven't gotten me stuck in sand or mud yet.

if you get a 2.5" leveling kit then you should be able to fit 35" tires on there. I know of a few people on here that have.

I have ProComp Xtreme A/T 35x12.50x20 with a 2" level kit. My wheels are 20x8.5 with 6" b.s. and +30 offset. Only very slight rubbing at full lock. Love the tires!

5.5 is a backspacing measurement. I think the closest thing to that in that model is gonna be 5.7 inches.
