Bilstein has released the 5160 series remote reservoir offroad shocks! These are true offroad racing shocks using the latest in remote reservoir technology to give great travel and heat dissipation at a low price. Bilstein has located the floating piston of the 5160 shocks in the reservoir for maximum piston movement and wheel travel. Bilstein's 5160 remote reservoir shocks give technology previously reserved for expensive offroad racing shocks in an inexpensive package that bolts on to many popular locations.

There are two lines of Bilstein 5160 remote reservoir shocks. One designed specifically designed to bolt on to many popular applications and the 5165 series sold based on length for custom applications.

And to post it on a F150 Forum??? Fail!!

I was hoping theyd have them done in time when I needed/bought shocks 10 months ago, but oh well. Far from disappointed in my 9000's.

For yo guys that would consider this shock, don't forget Rancho has the 9000 in a remote resi...for Fords!

 

They are available for the Superdutys, and I know there are Superduty owners who post here, and I don't think it's totally ridiculous to believe that someone who frequents this forum has another truck or would be interested in doing a custom application.

 

Its just the way it was posted....it got a bunch of peoples' hopes up only to find out it isn't made for our F150 (is this an F150 forum? or am I lost?) You start out a thread as "now available...." forgive me for initially assuming it was available for my F150 and being disappointed. The thread is about the new 5160 thats "available" not the 5165.

Come on Bilstein! Get on this for the F150! Its only the top selling truck in America....

 

Yeah that's pretty sad, lol. Try again when they are actually available...people might actually be interested then.
