I took my 2006 4X4 in to have the tires rotated and ask why the steering wheel rocked back and forth. The tire guy showed me the right front tire and said there was a busted belt, so he put on the spare and rotated. Now the rocking is back. It is real noticeable at slow speeds, as I speed up to 50 - 60 it is not very much. I have about 55K on the truck and don't remember hitting anything. I do use this on the farm on uneven ground. Any ideas on what is causing this problem? I also noticed it is starting to wander to the right on the highway when I let go of the wheel. Thanks for any help.

 

Ever thought about getting an alignment?

 

I am getting ready to put 4 new tires on and get an alignment. I thought I would like to get some ideas from you guys about my problem before I put out the money and screw up new tires. I hope it is an alignment problem and not tie rods or ball joints. Thanks

 

Well get one of those lifetime alignment packages and see i it helps. If it doesn't you still have lifetime alignments for later.
