FX2 lift...any reason not to?
I am thinking about adding a 2" Autospring leveling kit in front and 1.5" Blocks in the back on my '08 FX2. And then finishing off the look with some 275/70-18's Nitto Terra Grapplers on the stock wheels.
Aside from the usual "it's a 2WD" or "why didn't you just get a 4WD" comments, is there any reason why I shouldn't do this small lift? I really like the look of the FX4's so this is my way of achieving this look. Any tips?
If you have any pics of this type of setup, please share.
Thanks!

jack it up bro theres no reason not to. not everyone necessarly needs a 4wd. so if you just have a 2wd lift it. its your truck do what you want. i have never seen so many 2wd that have lifts till i bought my ford and started looking in these forums. you cant even tell a diffrence from a 4x4 to a 2x4 when they are lifted and have bigger tires.

My lifted my old 2wd '95 Tahoe with their lift spindles and upper control arms, riding on 33's...man that was back in 1998! It ran great until the ears of the upper control arm mounts started ripping away from the frame! Damn GMs...

I did a 3" on the front and 1.5 in the rear on my 2wd and it looks great but as far as the angles on the front suspension it looks like a disaster waiting to happen lol but we will see how long it will last I have heard of people running the kits with no issues at all but I really need tires then I will be happy.
