are yo leafs supposed to almost flat?

Unhappy are yo leafs supposed to almost flat?

yeah the back end of my truck saggin like a matha. looked at my leafs...that almost flat...could it be the shocks or the leafs themself? (done some heavy loads but most of the time i just highway runnin...all stock and all same parts from when it was built in 2002....that ok?

The leafs should have some curve to them. If totally flat, like you have a heavy load on the truck, I would take it to a Truck Spring shop...does`nt sound healthy to me...

basically the back of my truck is now lower then the front...closer examination showed the leaf springs are flat...ill upload somthin soon. in class currently

i was told that my shocks are bad...no kidding they are the factory ones XD

Your shocks are probably used up but that isn't your problem.

does the truck have 2 leaves, or 3? just curious. i had a 99 with a v-6 that only had 2 leaves if i remember right. my driver's side eventually flattened and i had to replace them (both sides, of course). if the back is lower than the front while unloaded, you definitely need new ones.

i have 3 leafs for each. and if u want pictures u have to bare with me i only have a camera on my phone. i will upload them when im out of class...it looks horrible...

And how many miles are on the truck?



Remember kids, basic maintenance will help prevent problems like this.

Sounds like you might have to replace your shock and leaf springs.

I would say you need to do shocks and leafs. I did that on mine and it rides and sits a lot better.

replace them now before they rainbow. that would be a bad ride if they do that. i was looking at my neighbors rumblebee and his leaves were rainbowed. cracked even. i was going to tell him but he wasnt home. o well.

yeah my brother said replace em so....time to send her to the shop...wounder how much they cost...would there be somthing more beefy i could put on er'>?

If you want something beefier, get a set with an extra leaf, that is usually used on an F250 for extra payload. LMC sells 3 or 4-leaf springs for $120 each.
