I did mine in my gravel driveway, with simple hand tools, no air, by myself, over a weekend, totaling around 14 hours. With a partner for lifting, holding, etc. it would go way faster.

But it was fun to do, I'd do it again

not to thread jack but i was reading through the install directions for a pro comp lift for a 2009-10 f150 and i was wondering did anyone get confused or nervous about cutting of the lower control arm mount thats the only thing im going to be worried about. and then the braket that holds the new rear sub frame crossmember that you have to drill 2 new holes onto the frame.

HEHEHE, I'm laughing because you're calling a gixxer 600 a "race bike"

No a Ducati 1198 R Corse is a race bike. Even a 1300RR or a Gixxer1000or R1 or even a CBR1000RR you can call a sportbike, but not a 650.

Just gotta break em for ya bud.

Depending on the track, a properly set up 600 can take all the bikes you mentioned. It's way more bike than the average rider can handle.

actually AMA racers race on 600CC bikes - I raced amateur road racing on a superstock 600 and beat 1000CC bikes all the time - matter fact 600 has much more corner speed than 1000CC bikes - its not about how fast u can go in straight line -- anyone can teach a monkey how to twist the throttle wide open and go in a straight line - its all about corner speed and who has the most ***** to brake last entering a corner .... when u can take a corner at 105MPH while trail braking and dragging a knee then come talk to me otherwise you really don't know anything about motorcycles at all...

or u take ur pick watch a video of me on my 600 and u be the judge fast forward to 3:50 min - once I get warmed up u get on a liter bike and try to pull those speeds on corners like that

and so you know the top MOTO GP bikes are only 800CC and make faster times than the Stock 1000 bikes in World Superbike

OK, first off, I never questioned your ability to ride a motorcycle friend, I simply made a joke about your calling the 600cc bike a race bike, notice this little line at the bottom?

"Just gotta break em for ya bud."

Frankly, I could give a **** less if you ride a 50cc dirtbike, or a 1500cc Vulcan. You ride what you want, and so will I. Personally, sport bike riders, most, not all, are jokes to me. I like to take it easy and enjoy the scenery, not seeing how fast I can go around a corner.

It's funny, most of the members on here are members on other sites and I see them often, but something about this stupid ****ing site brings out the worst in people.

I guess it's back to the **** site for me.

Peace out.

well u insulted the wrong person IMO - I don't ride on the street I race ..there is a huge difference between ur weekend warrior and actual motorcycle racer - a sport bike is made to go fast not cruise around town with one hand on ur hip or popping wheelies - once again IMO -

question - after I get the lift installed I have to drive atleast 25 miles to the shop to get it aligned - it won't mess anything up as long as the we eye the alignment as much as possible right?

some reason around here no shops can do tire sizes that are 35" so I have to drive west to get them done

This is great advice, although trailering it would be wiser. I drove mine 2 miles to have it aligned and had to drive in the the ditch the whole way. The tires on the asphalt were throwing the truck all over the place. I honestly couldn't have made it any further than I did and I am thankful that I did no damage to my new tires.

I am sure others may have had better experiences, but you never know until your lift is completed.
