37s with a leveling kit?!

Saw this truck and it appeared to only have a leveling kit. I looked at the front cross member and it was the stock one along with the spindles. So is it just a 3" LK or what? The tires are pro comp xtream M/T 37/12.5/R18

Looks to only have a leveling kit. It's only a 12.5" wide tire, but I'm gonna have to imagine it rubs somewhere when he turns.

Makes the 18" wheels look tiny. Like 15" with big tires back in the day! ROFL

x2, probably running some 3.55's with them too lol. Also, look at the 2nd and 3rd pic, its obvious they have done ALOT of cutting.

looks like a 3" kit possibly with a block or aal in the rear. that is amazing tho. that truck must have a turn radius of 20ft lol, because I know it can't go to full lock smoothly

Hope he never needs suspension travel up into the wheel wells, or tries to make a full-loc turn (probably not possible with his setup anyway). Next to no functionality in that truck! Purely a loss of function for stuffed wheel wells...

OFF TOPIC QUESTION - do you still maintain full functionality and travel and turning radius with a level kit and 35's on stock 18" wheels?

For the most part yes, depending on the exact tire, you may have some rubbing at full lock. With my tires, other than a little power loss I have not experienced anything different from stock.

You lose next to all droop travel with a leveling kit leading to the truck riding harsher because it has less capability to absorb bumps and dips. Larger tires will limit upward suspension travel if they can't fit in the wheel wells when stuffed upward. More-so the issue comes with the major loss of droop travel, this is why I advocate full suspension lifts over leveling kits anyday.

Wouldn't some of that depend on the type of level. If you have a spacer that goes in between the coil, essentially adding preload, I could see you "loosing" upward suspension travel making bumps worse (if not limiting suspention, at least making it less forgiving). A spacer that sits on top the assembly would not change that, however I think it will limit how far you have for downward travel depending on the spacer offset, at some point in time the UCA will hit your coil. I may have missed something, if you have more input, would love to hear.

Good topic
