Going From Lifted to Dropped - Need Advice

Hey guys,

I want to swap my out my 7.5" Fabtech lift for something like a 3/4 Belltech drop. I see that the full Belltech kit comes with coil springs, shocks, and rear shackels...obviously I'll need new tires, but what else do I need? Spindles/drop spindles?

I don't have any of the stock suspension that was removed during the lift. Thanks for the help!

what all stock components did you remove when you installed the lift kit?

youll need new spindles, so I would go ahead and buy 2" Belltech drop spindles and a 1" drop spring.
not sure about crossmembers.

I would go with Belltech part no 915SPBLT (2/4) or 918SPBLT (4/6)

Okay, just answered some of my own questions. I have this Fabtech lift:

7.5" Performance Crossmember System
The factory upper control arm remains in the stock frame pocket attaching to a new extended length cast spindle with the lower control arm relocated into the one piece crossmembers. Rear lift is comprised of a 5" block and U-Bolt kit.

So it looks like I have my stock control arms. Looks like I'll be going with the 2" spindle and 1" drop spring!

You will need new coils, shocks, and spindles up front. You will need to remove the crossmembers that came with the lift and rebolt your control arms into stock location. In the rear you will need shorter shocks as well as U-bolts. Right now your U-bolts are really long to accomodate the lift block. To lower the rear you are going to need to probably go with shackles and hangers.

yeah, that looks like how it's going to happen. now I just got to figure out which spindle drop will work. I was looking at the 2/4 belltech and just going to add drop springs to get to 3/4 but the 2/4 says it requires 18"+ rims and I'm currently sitting on 17"s...and not really wanting to get new wheels....I think I'm just going to call belltech monday and see what they got for me

Calling them would be the best idea. My buddy was running a 3/5 on stock wheels. He has a 03 stx extended cab. I have no idea what brand his kit is or anything though. I am sure belltech will let you know what you need to do.
