Raising front end of 2011 f-150...

I'm supposed to be getting my new work truck in a few months and was wondering if you can still tighten up the torsion bars on the front end to raise/level it like I did on my 2002 screw.

I haven't even seen the front ends on the new trucks so if this is a dumb question, well.. My bad.

Any input? Thanks!

No go on the torsion bars buddy. If you want to lift the front end you'd have to add a leveling kit or aftermarket shocks.

Bilstein 5100 series adjustable shocks will give you 2" of lift up front. You'll have to get an alignment done after.

I would say if its not your personal truck and you are gonna buy the level with your own money, go with the spacers. There a lot cheaper and are reliable as long as you stay away from the 3" kits.

I don't know about your employer, but mine would probably take back the work truck if I were to start making suspension changes to it.

(that is, unless you work for yourself)

The 04-11 F-150's have coilover shocks up front. In other words, a coilspring is mounted on the front shock and supports the weight of the truck. The aftermarket Bilstien and Rancho shocks have different mounts for the coilspring perch. You can set them for stock height or two inches of lift. As the others stated you can also add a "leveling kit" which is just a metal spacer that bolts on top of the OEM coilover shock. They are less than $100. Also, like adjusting the torsion bars on the older trucks, any change in ride height means the alignment needs to be adjusted.
