1.5" or 2" AS kit??

Well I'm looking into doing a leveling kit on my pickup, but I can't figure out what I want to go with.
After it has been leveled, I know I need an alignment afterward.
But how much lift do you actually get after the alignment?

AND Which kit would you guys recommend? the 1.5 or 2"
I would still like to have the rear a little higher than the front..

Here are the kits I'm looking at:
1.5"

2"

My friend and I both have 04 Supercabs with 6.5' Boxes. I have a 2" AS kit and he has the 1.5" kit. Mine sets PERFECT level on a perfectly level surface. If my front is slightly uphill, it looks nose high. If I hook up my boat to tow it looks nose high. If I carry any weight it looks nose high.

His sets with a very very slight rake, but looks Good in all the conditions I explained above with my truck. If you dont intend to haul at all and no towing, go with the 2", it sits level under perfect conditions.

I do intend to pull different thing. Boat in the summer, Delivery trailer year round on different occasions.

But I'm sorry I don't really have a good picture of my pickup. I am in Phoenix, AZ with my fiance to get some stuff done at the Mayo Clinic.
We should be back in town by the weekend though..

Another thing to think about is how big of a tire you want to go to look right. I have 275/70/18 on and the look perfect in the rear, just a tad small looking in the front. With a 1.5" kit they would be perfect on both ends.

I Am running LT275/70R18's now. I don't like them much. Just street tires.

How much was your MPG's affected by the level??

You need to measure your truck first off and see how much rake you have, then go from there. Not all of these trucks are going to be alike.

I put the 2" on mine and it lifted the truck 2 1/2" (swb, reg cab). It has a 3/4" rake now and I had planned on a little bit more for towing.

This is very true. I don't know why I didn't think of doing this.
How did it lift the truck 2.5" with just a 2" kit?

You generally get more out of an AS kit than what it is listed as, from what reading I have done one here after the fact.

I ordered the 2" kit from AS and that's what it said on the box but after install, it was 2 1/2" higher than it was before install.

The spacers themselves won't measure the same as what the kit is rated for. They will be shorter. The geometry change to the front suspension is what gives you the additional height over the thickness of the spacer.

And if you measure 3 weeks after the intall, the front will sit lower then right after the intall. And if you measure after the allignment the front will be lower than before. Once mine "settles" in, it sits level. Takes a few days after being jacked up for any amount of time.

Another thing to take into consideration is truck weight. quackrstackr's truck is a standard cab, mine is a super cab, and a lot of guys who level with a 2.5 kit and actually achieve level are supercrews! Plus how old your front springs are and a bunch of other things can take affect.

quackrstackr- looking at your sig, your truck looks kinda how mine is. Mine measures level, but at certain angles and the level of the road, "looks" high in front. But, mine has no rake even on level ground. Wish I would have gone with a 1.5"

edit - after taking a good look at your sig, I like how yours sets better than mine. I often wonder if I didnt get a 2.5" kit by mistake. I have 0 rake, and slight sag under load and pointing up hill.
