about to buy lift components. HELP!

ok, well originally i was going to go with the 7.5 fabtech, 35's and 4.56 rear, well instead of dumping 4g's in my 2wd truck, and gas up the a** with the gears an 35's cuz i have to travel quite a distance to school 3 times a day and i regularly go highway, i decided to go with a cheaper option being the 3.5" spindles, 1.5" coil spacer, 3" rear blocks, Aftermarket springs, billstein 5100 racing shocks all around, LT305/70R-16 toyo open country's on 16" procomp rock crawler steels and 4.10 in the rear. now, with all that said, its going to be about 4.5" of lift in the front, and 3" of lift blocks in the rear. Im trying to get all my parts from 4wheelparts.com because i can get free shipping by picking everything up at the store. So if anyone can help me out on their website and point me in the right direction for the right coil springs, and billstein 5100 shocks that will fit my setup, that would help ALOT, and any advice on my setup would be appreciated. Thankss

That came out lookin real nice, and ive looked at that lift but people have said that the 3" lift springs make the truck ride real stiff, and im trying to run 33's so i dnt have to regear so low and save me gas MPG's, so that lift would make 33's look to small, and instead of the 1.5" coil spacer, i mite go with the 2" lift springs, but i dnt kno if i would hav to get aftermarket UCA's with them.

Go to canuckmotorsports.com and buy their full 6.5" suspension lift that I have talked to you about before. 4wheelparts sells the fabtech spindles and for a little more than the price of those you can get the full 6.5" lift. It's the same lift that's on mine and barryrod's sons truck.

Yea, I'm running the springtech too probably the longest out of us three and the 3" springs don't ride stiff. The shocks that come with it however should be upgraded.

yea, ive been looking into those, the only thing that scares me is the gas im gunna burn threw with the 35's running 4.56 gears. I do quite a bit of highway, sometimes about 2 hour trips goin about 65. thats why i was thinking about going with canucks 5.5" lift with the spindles, 2" coils and blocks, and buy the tires, rims, and shocks on 4wheelparts.com. 5.5" so 33's look good on it, and i dnt have to regear, but i can regear to 4.10 instead if i want. What ya'll think? am i over reacting?

I'm getting like 13 highway cruising about 70-75ish with the way my truck is now and its horrible aerodynamically with the fenders, towing mirrors, and front bumper. I think I pulled like 15 with the body still stock and 35's and 3.55 gear ratio. And the 4.56 will help your gas mileage as long and so would a tuner to change it for the new gear ratio and tires. Your city mileage isn't gonna be great though I pull about 11 city I think.

Why cheap out? Even if your not wanting to run 35's right now one day you might. Get the full 6.5" now and save yourself some time and money. Also mpg's shouldn't be a huge problem. I average around 15mpg with stock gears and 35's, but I drive civilized as well.

jus curious, how would 4.56 help MPG on highway if im goin 65 but at much higher RPM's than on 3.55? I can see how it would help in the city because of more power to the wheels at take off, but on highway? and would 33's look good on 5.5" of lift? and pizzaman, your pullin 35's on stock gears and a 4.6??? has your power suffered much? and ur trans must be goin threw hell, you to Buxton, on stock gears? man, i feel a whole loss of power off the line just with my 33" street tires on now! and yea buxton, i hear wat your saying about go big now and have no regrets. This whole confusion is over gas mileage, thats all. lol i dnt make a whole lot of money to keep up with all the places i go and the gas. well, i guess ima have to do some more thinkin, even tho i have the money for everything sitting in the bank!! lol

Ah I just meant in general driving it would help, but its not gonna destroy your highway either. But you could even go to 4.10s to get a better all around ratio. As for power I'm not smoking tires anymore when I lay on it, but I can still make them chirp if I want. It hasn't destroyed my power and my trans seems to be holding up fine but I only have about 10k on the truck with the lift and the truck only has 56k on it total so its still got a ways to go before it dies. But I don't drive it likes it stolen either because that does kill my mileage. But yea 33's would look good with 5.5" but once you get it your gonna wish you went bigger. If your worried just get the 6.5" find some craigslist 33's see how you like it and if you don't you've left yourself room to go to 35's. If you go 5.5" your not gonna be able to clear 35's.

Do the 6.5 haha. Even if you go with 33's it won't look bad. But I'd definitely recommend a different shock over the ones that are supplied with it.

Yeah just go all the way and rock 33's for a while. I was at 8 inches and rode on my old 285's for about a month. It didn't look too bad.

you arent going to get a good looking beefy truck with the MPGs of a prius so you just gotta get over tht part honestly. I deliver pizza and I just jacked up my truck, it took me awhile to just stop worrying about my mpg bc its not gunna change no matter how much I worry so I just enjoy my truck for what it is.

I just got 15mpg with 3.55 gears and 35's purely city driving so you can still get good mpgs while you are saving for gears. Go big now or you might regret it when you think back upon it
