Rough Country = Junk

Been looking at the different lift options and came across the RC 4" lift. Just wondering if RC is any good or even worth it. Considering you get what you pay for...
Also why does their cut require cutting and drilling??

Thanks

They all require cutting or some moderate drilling...I can only comment on Procomp, Fabtech or Rize, I have never had a RC but have not every really heard anything bad. Remember the kit is pretty much a new set of knuckles and drop cradle to lower the Diff. How many different or better ways can it be made?????

I love my Procomp Stage 2, it went in very well I thought. Did it myself in a weekend....

I have a rough country 6 inch. Good quality minor cutting the shocks that come with it arent the best. The instructions as well are not the best. But im happy with mine.

In the 1/2 ton trucks their lifts are fine, on 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks you can't pay me to put one on. There were 2 members on powerstroke.org that their lifts broke from daily driving right at the welds nearly causing a wreck.

if you're gonna go with RC, might as well go with ZONE instead.
I was debating between the two for a while. But I heard that ZONE was more heavy duty than RC. I love my lift so far. And they're the same price.

It's not that it's a bad lift, i would say it's more of an economical lift and there are better lifts out there. If you're only going to have a lift for show or very light offroading then the RC will be ok. If you're going to beat on the lift then I would probably purchase a BDS lift since it comes with a lifetime warranty. I would be ok with theRE 4" lift, but I personally wouldn't run there 6" due to it using basically all the same parts as the 4".

And as for a 3/4 or 1 ton I would advise just as 06yz250f stated. There's no way RC them self could have paid me to put there lift on my truck. Every one who has rode in 3/4 or 1 ton with the RC has hated it. There name describes the ride, "Rough".

Why are you going with a 4" when a 6" is just $100 more?

Hmm. Hadnt looked into their 6". I know the others companies like BDS and Procomp. Their lifts are a good $1500 dollars MORE than the RC.
What are you guys paying for your kits?

a bds is not $1500 more than an RC. I paid $2100 installed. an RCX is 1850 installed Pro comp is $2k. Fabtech is $2100. those install prices are all local.

Guys, the install prices ya'll have quoted may be different for him depending where he's located. In my area shops won't install/align a lift for less than $800. For a leveling kit shops are charging no less than $450 for parts and labor not including an alignment.

I was just proving that the lifts weren't a $1500 difference.
