New front struts for leveled front end

So I have been thinking of leveling the front end of my 2005 SCrew. But have had a lot of friends tell me it makes for a rougher ride due to the struts having less travel. So I was hoping for a recommendation on a nicer strut to replace them with that have more travel.

Replacement struts are a stiffer ride, some prefer it that way. You can go with bilsteins or ranchos but some people say the ranchos don't give the full lift they say.

A spacer such as the autospring kit won't affect your travel because it mounts over the strut so people say it stays closer to the factory ride, just DON'T go over 2.5".

Leveling it won't change how harsh it rides. It will make your steering feel like sh*t though. By leveling it, some weight is shifting off the front tires and that makes the steering feel very numb and awkward. It gets worse if you try to haul or tow anything.

But if you insist on doing it, make sure you get it aligned immediately afterwards and tell the tech to set the camber as far negative as possible (while keeping it in spec).

i noticed several different model numbers for that series of struts. Other than the difference in range for lowering and lifting, what's the difference in them.

Belltech only offers 2 struts for the F150. One for the 2wd models and one for the 4wd models.

Just put factory 4wd struts on it you get about 1.5 inches higher than 2wd and its only an inch off from when you would do a 2wd strut plus the leveling kit. I did this to my truck and yes it does ride smoother without the leveling kit. No problems and perfect fitment if you do want to go with the more clearance with the leveling kit I have one if you would like to buy just pm me. Hope this helps
