Rancho 9000's with 9700?

I've done a lot of research and the Rancho RS9000's look to be the best shock for a lifted truck. Just my opinion though! Anyways, I was wondering if anybody had these shocks and if so do you have the RS9700 Controller? Any comments on how well it works or does not work would be appreciated. Also one website said that they were for trucks with 4 inches of lift. I have only 2 inches of actual suspension lift. Will this affect the performance?

Thanks

I have had both the Rancho 9000's and the remote for about 2 years and love them! Had absolutely no problems with them and they work great

They list them for either stock height or lifted (4 inches). You might be able to find some that will work. Just take some measurments on what you need and give Rancho a call. The make dozens of different combinations and I'm sure you will be able to find something that will work.

I have the RS9000's but I don't have the RS9700 in-cab adjustment kit.

I have heard the kit is problematic and some shops won't install it because most people bring them back with problems/complaints. Depends on your usage and the quality of the installation, I guess. I like to go 4-wheeling in the mountains and it looks to me like those little air lines would get destroyed the first time out. I just prefer to keep things simple.

The RS9000's are great - they make 4-wheeling a lot of fun.

Thumbs up

I put them on last spring, and I couldn't be happier. I opted out of the remote kit as well. To me the remote was not "proven" enough. I have heard rumors that Rancho was redesigning the system to address some of the problems.
