Go with a body lift, especially if your not going 4 wheeling. Read down through the other post in this forum for more info.

If you can install the body lift yourself that would be the cheapest ,2wd f-150 bodylifts are in the $130 range and another 150+ to have it installed. If you can't do the bodylift yourself you can go with AIM 3" spindles for $249 and put them on yourself, all you need are a couple of wrenches , a pair of needlenose pliers and a big *ss hammer. If you go with the spindles give us a yell and we can help you with a step by step.

not to be smart.....

I have a stock 00 f150 2wd ext cab, and I am running 285's which are a 32.4" if you convert it. So if you want 31's which are only 1.25" taller than stock you dont have to lift, unless you want a taller stance. But with my 285 I do some crazy stuff and have never dropped bottom!

where are you finding a 3 1/2 body lift? i know that the spindles are 3 1/2 but for a body i belive they only come in 3". i was at the point of a spindle lift, did all the reaserch, what it looks like, and everything. in my opinion it would be easyer to install the spindle lift. i know with fabtech spindles you dont need to get new rims. they are pricer than aim and just allitle more than pro comps. hope some of this info helps.

Yes you can do both the body lift and the spindles without any problem. You shouldn't have any problems with u-joints and you don't need to mess with the steering linkage unless you do more than 4" of suspension lifting.

hey i was just wondering with a 3 1/2" suspension so you run a stock shock or a 4 1/2" lift shock like the ones offered by the f 150 online's store or go somewhere cheaper?

Hey tnboy11580, here's my truck with a 3" spindle lift and 2.5 in blocks in the back. I stuffed 305/70-16s (advertised as a 33X12.50) with no problem.
