Getting more out of my 5" rcd lift

Getting more out of my 5" rcd lift

Looking for more lift. Besides a body lift is there anything else I can do ?

i think most would probably come back with recommending and add a leaf for the rear and a set of spacers for up front if you havent already done so. if the kit didnt come with its own shocks then maybe some adjustable coilovers. that will bring you up a little more.

97-03 4x4's don't use coilovers or spacers, they have torsion bar front suspension. Coilover suspension didn't start in f150's until the 04 models (not including the 04 heritages though).

If you haven't already cranked your torsion bars, you can crank them up some to get about another 2" of lift outta the front and then get a new alignment. For the back you can go with a bigger block, lift shackles, or an add a leaf.

Otherwise your basically stuck with buying a bigger lift or a body lift.

thanks pizzaman. not very familiar with the older model trucks. just wanted to throw some ideas out there for the guy. but thanks for the clarification.

I agree. Whatever you do, don't buy a set of aftermarket torsion bar adjustment keys (aka a leveling kit).
