Replacing studs in rear axles. (drum brakes)

Am I going to need to remove my rear axles to have enough room to put my new 14mm studs into my drum brake rear end? I would really like to keep it simple and just be able to put them in from the back without removing the axle.

i dont know if this will help but i change one on a 97 F250, because the guy that has the difficult job of putting on the tires striped the crap out of it. well we could not just slip it in. took way to long to do it. good luck
