lowered with 17inch

Hey guys I need help,

I want to lower my 01 Reg Cab Flareside and put 17inch wheels on it. I know 20's would look better but they r too expensive. I want mine to look similar to 99flareside's. What amount should I lower it with 17's and what size tire should I run to fill up the wheel well the same amount as 99flareside's. Thnx.

Cool

Well if you want to do a 3/4 drop like me you would need to run about a 275/60/17 tire to get a similar look to mine. If you go with a skinnier tire the sidewall will have to increase, or with a fatter tire like 295 you could go lower in profile to 55 or perhaps 50. You should check out F150freaks truck, he has a 3/4 drop with 17's and 50 series tire I believe. If you want 45 series tires on 17's you might want to look into a 4/6 drop but thats more $$$ and you would need a c-notch! But if you shop around I'm sure you can get some 18's for not that much more than some 17's.
