drop a 4x4?
#3
It'll be easy on the back, but you would still have to alter the bump stop. The front will give you problems. Take a look up front and you'll notice that the front bump stop is pretty darn close as it is. Lowering it anymore would give you zero suspension travel. I've not seen any "Kits" to lower a 4x4, but you would have to do the same basic thing the lift kits do, and that's move the entire axle/A-frame assembly as one unit.
Interesting thought however..........

What's up guys,
I have a 01 4x Screw.
Thought about lowering it also. Just too much work
to turn it into something it was not designed to be.
So I put some 18" 285's Toyo's / Helwig sways /stock height
So I have the performance of a low pro...yet with the durability of a 4x. ( and hell, the way I drive)
Remember, no matter how nice we make them look on the outside...they are still what they are...rugged work trucks!

Dropped 4x4 = big quatro
Hey! That's not such a bad idea - Before i bought my ride i was also trying to get info on it - no luck so went with a 4x2 and ended up lowering it any way. In theory, wouldn't it work like the quatro? having the 4wd would make make it a better performing truck, but you would need the lower center of gravity to perform like a sport truck. Now to just figure out how to deal with weight distribution - sand bags in the bed? How about rice for the ricers?
