Hearing knocking noise, unable to find.
97 F-150 XLT 4X4 supercab Lariat.
Knocking noise appears at different times. Under 50mph, coasting, turning, flat ground or hills it doesn't matter. Sounds like a frame knock but unable to locate. Tried Every thing, Even local Ford dealer unable to locate. 4X4 works Great, no mechanicle problems what so ever.
Friend with 97 Expedition has same problem.
Any Ideas ????

Hey there Rondo ,,
I was just having a similar problem for the past several weeks, and i just found out what the hell the problem was ,,,,,,,,,
i was getting this knocking noise comnig from under my truck , mostly on the passengers side almost directly under the passengers feet. I thaugh it was bushings in my sway bar links or something like that ,,,,,,,,,
It just so happened that it wasn't even close to being that ,,,,,it was one of my CAB mounts that was loose ,, the centre screw that holds it into place was loose and the cab mount jumps around here and there causing a knocking noise,,,,,,,,,
Check it out
hope it can help
