tow limits
want a little advise from fellow f150 owners. i have a 2003 f150 supercrew with a 5.4 l, auto., 4x4, tow package, 3.73 ratio, and 6750# package. i plan on buying a wilderness camper with a 4850 lb. dry weight and a 7200 lb. gvwr. do you think my truck will be able to handle this without working overly hard.thanks in advance.

It'll work harder then mine does!! But my TT is only #4500 all loaded up including a full water tank. If you can keep your 'wet' weight to around #6000 you should be ok. You won't win any races up the hills, but it'll make it. You'll be pretty much maxed out IMO.
You might want to consider getting some "real" temp gauges for it however....... The stock water temp gauge really won't tell you much. I've got some aftermarket gauges to monitor the water and trans temps. Just some extra peace of mind in my case.
My rig has over 115k on it now and really only just starting it's towing career... I look forward to many more miles too!
Good luck!

Really, towing anything over 4000 pounds you should not expect great performance. If you have a good weight distributing hitch and a Prodigy, you'll be pleased with how it handles, while sucking lots of gas and not keeping up with the fast crowd on highways. As long as you are say under 6000 pounds loaded, I think you'll be okay. But, if you think you'll be upgrading your truck soon, you will notice a big difference in towing with a Superduty.
