Hitch won't fit???

I have a 2000 F-150 (2wd). I need to know which hitches (class IV) fit my truck. I bought one from Cabelas (Valley Brand) and it was off by 1/2" in the back and 3/4" in the front!!! The company confirmed that they sent me the right model (97-03 f-150 light duty).
I prefer one that is welded, not bolted together like some of those one size fits all hitches...

Any input is welcome.

BTW: Cabelas is a good company with good customer service, they took the hitch back without any static and are having it picked up at my house. Good company.

I got a factory hitch off of ebay for my 97. I think it was $70 with shipping. All it needed was a little paint and it bolted right up.

I got a Valley class IV from my local RV dealer. $100.00 and a perfect fit.

Thanks for the replies... I got it mounted. I put a bottle jack and some 2x4s in between the mounting brackets and pushed it out the 1/2 inch needed. Whatever works...
