New trailer

Well, I got tired of spending all my free time fixing the old Prowler, so we bought a Jayco Jay Feather 26S. Sticker says 4400 empty, I stopped at the scales on the way home from the dealer and officially it is 4650 with gas but nothing else.

First trip this weekend went well. As you might expect, the F150 had no problems with this weight. Pretty windy on the way home, but again, tow vehicle maintained control. Gained a bit of performance and about 2 mpg more as well.

We switched from a Reese Dual Cam (old one wouldn't fit on new trailer) to an Equalizer. Gosh, is it noisy! On the Reese, I would squirt a bit of Tri Flow just to make it quiet. Can I do that on this hitch and still get enough friction to keep from swaying?

Peace, Dennis
