Should I add SuperSprings or WDH?
I just bought a F-150, 5.4, 3.73 axle, SuperCrew, 4X2 with 150WB; I have a travel trailer 19', 6160 GVWR. When I hooked the rig up there was no dipping at the hitch and everything was level. The rated towing capacity of the F-150 shows 9400 lbs. My question is this: should I add "SuperSprings self-adjusting suspension" (aids the factory springs) or a Weight distributing hitch or equalizer, or just try it out? (I have towed this same trailer with a '97 Expedition, 5.4, which had self leveling air system, and I do have a one sway bar attachment which I used.) Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Thanks

Weight distribution hitches do more than raise the rear of the truck. They actually "distribute" weight from the tounge of the trailer to the front of the tow vehicle. They will bring your headlights back down on the road where they belong and fix the steering so it drives like it should. The whole Idea behind a WD setup is to level the axles so they are all close to the same weight. I would reccomend a WD hitch with sway control built into it such as the Equal-i-zer. It is all in one and you don't need to remove a sway bar to back up. Rvwholesalers has them in various weights for $399. It is the best $$$ you'll ever spend. Your tow experience will increase 100 times over what it is right now. There will be no more bouncing or "porposing" as it is called. The truck and trailer will move as one unit. My total length hooked up is 59'. I have ZERO sway and I can tow at 65 MPH all day long with my hand at the bottom of the steering wheel comfortably.
