Installing new rearend gears

After all the help on this site, I have decided to change out my gears. I am pretty handy with tools but I have never changed out readend gears. Is there special tools? If so, I may locate someone to work on my truck!

Yes, installing gears is not your typical do-it-yourself job, no matter how handy you are. Requires special tools to measure the pinion depth. If you don't get gears installed just right, they'll whine, run hot, etc, etc. Unless you know what you're doing and have the tools this is one of those jobs better left up to a pro.

I spoke with some of my mechanic buddies and they suggested I find someonethat specializes in this. Now to find someone in my area that has a good rep and fair price.... !!!
