Exclamation Question????
i just bought a 98 f150 xlt ext cab. flare side 4x4 off road package. I was wondering how much i can tow, i saw the chart for the weight, but i'm not sure how to tell what gears i have or whatever... please help

Look on the door sticker. It will have a code for the axle ration. My guess is 3.55. If the code is a 19 (open diff), or H9 (LS), it is a 355. If the 2 digit code ends in a 6, it is 3.73.

sorry it took so long to reply, but it's the h9.. so how much can i tow?

You have 3.55's, check the chart.

ok, is there any way to get more performance out of my truck for towing?
