i dont know if its towing....

but, im proud of the ole 02 f150! me and some buddys were talkin bout trucks, and well, we decided to have a pull-off. me(02 5.4 3.55ls, edge exhaust intake) a 92(i think) dodge 12 valve diesel, and a 6.2 chevy diesel(both non-turbo.) and well......i went in the underdog, and came out on top! yanked the chevy around, had some problems with the 12v dodge....but the 5.4 pulled thru, plus with this weather, i got to pull 3 chevys and 1 dodge outta the ditch......all i can say is.... glad i have a ford!

It's all about traction, usually chain mounting locations will determine the winner.
I hate to tell you but you could have won with a 84 toyota with a 4 cylinder.

Unfortunately it is cool bragging rights but means nothing.

Ditto. Pull-offs are all about traction. Let the other guy break traction first, and you can drag him all over dodge and back with a scooter.

I agree 100%! So many people believe that a pull off actually has something to do with power. It's all about reaction time (first) and traction second. A little old lady in a Corvair could (will) pull your bored & stroked, blown, nitrous injected, 8 wheel drive monster down to the Bingo Parlor if she knows what she's doing. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I have had pull offs with alot of people, and the best way to pull off is this.

Stay on the brakes, let him start spinning his tires and then give it some gas, you will always pull him anywere since he has no traction.

That dodge 12 valve had a turbo. They never offered a 12 valve without a turbo. It could of possibly been non intercooled because i dont think they started intercoolers till 93.
